What Is This System?

OneWayVideo is a cryptographic evidence capture and playback system designed for court record collection. During each capture session, a Python controller runs a hash-chain loop every ~7 seconds, bundling: an OBS screenshot (PNG), all HTTP requests (HAR), all file downloads, all TCP/IP packets, and a SHA-256 hash of the previous bundle — creating an unbreakable cryptographic chain.

This playback system synchronizes all captured data to the video timeline so a viewer can see exactly what was happening at every moment, with mathematical proof it wasn't fabricated. Every bundle is independently verifiable. Every file is downloadable. Every hash is checkable.

Dual Timestamping

Every bundle and screenshot is independently timestamped through two mechanisms: Bitcoin blockchain anchoring via OpenTimestamps (OTS) and Roughtime network time verification. This provides cryptographic proof of when each bundle was created, anchored to independent global time sources that cannot be manipulated retroactively.

How It Works

The capture system records everything that happens during a court record collection session. Every ~7 seconds, a new bundle is created containing a snapshot of all activity. Each bundle includes the SHA-256 hash of the previous bundle, creating a chain where any modification to any bundle would break every subsequent hash — making tampering mathematically detectable.

Evidence Collection Target

All sessions capture records from Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO) — the public access portal for Minnesota state court records. The records relate to State of Minnesota v. Guertin | 27-CR-23-1886 and associated cases.
